Brisbane Greenfest 2009

Due to the huge success of last years event and the need for a much larger venue, Brisbane Greenfest This year was held at the Brisbane Botanic gardens in the heart of the City from June 5th-7th 2009. I didnt have much time here as I had to high tail it to Woodford Friday evening for The Dreaming Festival. So Friday Midday I headed into the city to blitz the whole festival in just a few hours.

Which was hard. This years Greenfest was HUGE. Covering a large portion of the Gardens. I only really wanted to see the Tesla Roadster, being the worlds most awesome 100% electric Sports car which was SWEEEET! yet not affordable. YET! I was also on the look out for new innovative ideas that could possibly help me living in a bus. Such as a Solar hot Water system for caravans etc, but alas, this has still not been invented yet I was told. DOH!

Whilst taking Photos I was enticed by some chirpy young gentlemen to Take a look at their stall. Which ended with me signing up with Land Care Australia. “Never hurts to Help” as Eek the Cat used to say.

A new invention I found pretty cool was flexible Solar cells which can be used on awnings, or anywhere really. Not too much else was new to me, just larger amounts of it here. And Sadly i was in too much of a hurry to see any of the music acts, which was an incredibly good line up, all for free. Plus no chance to taste any of the awesome food available .. But i was on a mission to get to woodford before dark. (which still didnt happen)

This week and weekend was way over booked. With the Caravan and camping show, Greenfest AND the massive Dreaming Festival all on at the same time, Attendance may have been hindered at all of these events. I managed to do all 3 of them, but had to focus on the most important. The Dreaming festival at Woodford.
