Ive been working consistently on Machete the Motorhome for a few weeks now, Firstly fixing the leaks and major problems first. Now its onto the cosmetic changes, well at least until i have the cash to get the BIG things done. So far ive fixed the Shower, removing the Dry Rot and replacing the beams and roof. Added a new overhead cupboard and given the entire interior a new paint job. Plus a good mate of mine changed engines 2 side plates and rocker cover gaskets, and gave it a bit of a tune up. This solves all the major oil leaks. Ive now completed the wiring for the reversing camera, so its all properly installed with a switch and decent cabling. Also just today had 6 brand spanking new Yokohama Light Truck tyres installed by the awesome guys at Tires & More Coopers Plains.

Also Just about everything has Died on me . The 3 Way Fridge, the hot water system, some of the lights, the portable stove. But its to be expected with the age of it all. Still to come, New curtains, Polished floor boards, Plus ill be adding a large 12volt 230litre 2 door fridge. 2 x 80watt Solar panels and 2 x 200 Ah Deep Cycle gel Batteries. Large 240volt 1200watt inverter, Solar hot water, Solar cooker ovan, new gas stove, and of course the 7 speaker sound system The interior will all be Indian Egyptian Harem style material which is why ive chosen the earthy orange / brown wall at the back. should blend perfectly with the reds, blues, and colourful curtains and cushions.

Im off to Woodford Tree Planting festival with her this weekend so its the First trip living in her completely by myself so this should be fun. We have to be out of the house in 13 days so there isnt much time left to get everything sorted. which is frightening but exciting at the same time. So far everything is on track for my mid June departure, where ill be heading up north to Mt Isa, then Cairns and Atherton, My Home town.
