As the struggle for inventing new and exciting Reality Television series becomes more and more obscure, We find ourselves facing a future of crossbread TV Nasties. Survivor’s American Television giant CBS has teamed up with Australia’s Fremantle Media, creators of The fat crushing ‘Biggest Loser‘, in an attempt to create the ultimate reality experiment which aims to test the life expectancy of The nations obese. The Biggest Survivor consists of a cast of 26 Morbidly obese Male and Females who are set to take control of Australia’s Kakadu national Park. No food will be provided, as they are left to fend for themselves in this vast yet barren paradise. “without any mod cons they will have to work very hard to hunt for food, which will in turn cause huge physical and mental stress” says a CBS spokesman. “It will make for some very exciting, yet fatal entertainment” he laughes. Koby MacDonnal (pictured above) said “its a great opportunity to lose weight in such a harsh environment, Im really looking forward to seeing just how long my 140kg will keep me alive”.
An Expert Nutritionist Dr Namagamco said “The concept is based on the starvation process that the body goes through when solid food is removed from the diet. Where in the body will store fat as an energy reserve when it feels its threatened. It fights for survival. Much the same as what happens when one replaces meals with shakes or liquids. The aim is to see just how long they can survive on fat cells alone.”
But this isnt just for our entertainment, a huge prize of US$5,000,000 is up for grabs for the only surviving member of the cast, which is the largest prize pool ever in the history of reality TV.
The Biggest Survivor is currently in production and will hit our tv screens mid year. And i must say this is one Reality TV show ill be sitting down with my tub of double choc icecream to watch!.
